In 12 months Concept Corner went from a dream to a reality thanks to the drive and enthusiasm of Hayley, the owner. After visiting many Women’s Networking Events and speaking to lots of women, she recognised a need and desire for Artists and Artisans to display their products in a physical shop. Therefore Hayley came up with the idea of doing a shop share for independent local businesses based on the Wirral.
A shop became available in Seabank Road, New Brighton, Wirral and the dream started to become a reality. After lots of hard work from Hayley and her family converting the shop and building a unique shopping experience it was time to open the doors.
Hayley went on to realise that many of these sole traders had the same fears about expanding their business and lacked the same skills in marketing their business, as Hayley herself did.
That’s where the reality of Concept Corner came from. To set up a shop for local Independent Businesses, and hold Workshops, to bring these skills to the Local Independent small business owner.
Concept Corner was opened in August 2017. At the moment we have over 20 independent businesses working out of the shop. We are running workshops on how to Market your Business on the Social Media, which platform to use to launch your business, and Confidence Boosters for business owners, teenagers and local families.
We hope that Concept Corner will grow over the next 12 months and help each of our local artists and artisans flourish and grow their own independent businesses.
Our Artisans and Artists are local people, who are like minded and have the same principles and ethics when conducting business. If you are interested in becoming part of this Concept, e-mail us with your website or facebook details.
At the moment we are particularly interested in locally made produce. The product needs to have a good shelf life. We would like to speak to you if you produce, Balsamic Vinegar, oils, dips, cheeses, chocolates, olives, chillies or similar. Rental space starts at just £10 per week .
